The first step to having a thriving aquarium is choosing the right RO/DI system. Our city and well waters have a number of harmful contaminants like chlorine, chloramine, lead, arsenic, and others. Many times it’s not fit for drinking, let alone the perfect 0 TDS water needed. Many customers use dechlorinators which are designed to neutralize the chlorine in the water and is one of the worst ways to attempt to purify the water. They remove no harmful contaminants from the water. Many customers like to purchase water from the local fish store but that can become expensive in the long run.
